Why all this?

Embrace the joy of cooking amongst the chaos. Have fun in the kitchen, where memories are made and recipes are shared. Keep it simple, keep it yummy, keep it real.

Over the last year my life has changed a lot. I became a mum for the first time, and then a working mum.

As all of you who have children know, everything in your life becomes upside down the second your little one comes into this world, and suddenly you find yourself having to re-evaluate and re-organise your old life and your old habits. The simplest tasks you just kind of did in auto-pilot, now you have to think about how to manage them, and when best to tackle them.

I find that cooking is one of these things. I enjoy cooking, mostly I enjoy eating. In my previous child-free life I just went with the flow, doing things whenever suited me, if they suited me. Now I try to plan ahead, and even then I’ve found myself countless occasions cooking dinner with one hand while holding a crying baby on the other.

One thing I have been learning is how to cook quickly and safely around my baby while putting a nutritious and healthy food on the table every day, well, most days. And trying to be as organised as possible.

I decided to launch this blog hoping to help busy parents like me, inspiring them to prepare good foods for the whole family, as hassle-free as possible.
